About Emily
Hello! My name is Emily Kingsmore and I am so excited to be a part of the LD Expert team. I have 6 years of experience as a special education teacher working with elementary students with various learning differences. I am also a certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner. My work focuses on the point where decoding meets confidence, because a student who believes they can read is the one who keeps trying long enough to get there. Outside the classroom, I write decodable readers theater scripts giving beginning readers a way to build fluency that feels like performing instead of practicing. Originally from NJ, I now live in Boston with my husband and our Boston Terrier, Dove. I look forward to meeting you and your child!
