Marla Martin, MEd, WDP

Hello, my name is Marla Martin and I am a special education teacher of 23 years and live in Pennsylvania. I earned my certification in Special Education N-12 from East Stroudsburg University and then my Master’s Degree in curriculum and instruction from Wilkes University. Teaching reading and seeing the progress students can make using direct and explicit, multisensory reading instruction is my passion. I love to watch my students apply what they have learned and grow into more confident readers. When I’m not talking shop with my husband, who is also a special education teacher, I love cooking, gardening and going on adventures with our 3 teenagers, 2 german shepards and goofy great dane.
